Jim has been represented by Pucker Gallery since 1988, and feels a strong friendship with Bernie and Sue Pucker and the staff there. Jim's 2020 exhibition Attentiveness to Nature featured an Artist Talk which is available on the Pucker Gallery website. Through Bernie Puckers thoughtful insight, Paula Robison’s music and Jim's paintings, the three will explored Schantz's connection to, representation of, and interest in nature

Jim Schantz joined the Hawthorne String Quartet and created a painting inspired by the groups performance of Czech composer Hans Krása. HSQ members are Ronan Lefkowitz, Si-Jing Huang, and Mark Ludwig (violinists), and Sato Knudsen (cello). Read more…
